7''1' Latvian center Martins Abele will transfer to Duquesne from Radford for the 2011-12 season. Martins will be the 5th and final scholarship player of the class.
At Radford, Abele scored averaged over 5 points and rebounds in his freshmen season. He saw limited action due to injury. He also averaged 1 block per game.
It is unclear whether Abele will be eligible to play immediately due to NCAA violations by former coach Brad Greenberg who was suspended for the final 4 games of last season for allowing an ineligible player to travel with the team.
