Game Notes

Dayton played a much tougher out of conference schedule than the Dukes, but they lost to 4 of the 6 the stronger (teams ranked near 100 or higher) RPI teams they faced (Penn State, Michigan St., Louisville, and San Diego St.)

In the Dukes' 16 games, six different Dukes have been the leading scorer - Agunbiade (4 times), Polino, Gensler and Abel (3 times each), Szeci (2 times)  and Britcher (1) time. 

The Flyers beat the Dukes 75-53 last year at Palumbo with Raterman leading the way with 17 points for the Flyers. Samantha Polino had 12 for the Dukes.   The Flyers were an at large team in the NCAA tournament last year and beat TCU in the first round before losing to Tennessee in Knoxville.  The Flyers host the Dayton Regional on March 26 and 28 with the winner going to the NCAA women's final four. 

The game is on CBS College Sports (Comcast Channel 254) at 2:00pm.   Dukes' fans from Pittsburgh with be enjoying a huge sports day with men hosting Temple at 12.  Also, the Pens play @ the Bruins at one.  And last, but not least the Steelers host the Ravens in the AFC Divisional Playoffs at 4:30pm.  A huge sports day!!
