Ron Everhart appears to have four small forwards in his sights for the 3rd and possibly final spot in his class of 2011. With Cheikh Fall and PJ Torres already on board and Shakore Grant prepping, the Dukes are after depth at the swing position, and weapon for the future. Here are the candidates:

Maurice Aniefiok - Huntington Prep

6'5'' 225

Aniefiok is a strong Nigerian forward with a complete inside outside game. He's said to be an excellent rebounder and shooter and has been described as a player who is ready to step in an contribute at a high level immediately. He has scheduled visits to Ole Miss, James Madison and Duquesne over the next couple of weeks. While he was expected to make his decision very soon, Mike Rice of Rutgers has shown heavy interest of late dampening the likelihood of a quick decision. Hopefully, he visits New Brunswick and finds out what a dump it is. Indiana and USC were also involved in his recruiting.

Daniel Herrera - Doral Academy

6'6'' 218

Herrera is still a newcomer to the game of basketball after being discovered by his high school's coach in eighth grade while playing soccer. Herrera is athletic for his size and is capable of playing an inside outside game. He can play both forward and guard. In spite of his relative inexperience, he is said to be have a high IQ on the court as well as off the court. His skills coupled with his grades got him  early looks from the Ivy league and he's already visited Dartmouth. Princeton and Liberty are also said to be interested. He visited Duquesne last weekend.

Rayvon Harris - Flora McDonald Academy

6'5'' 200

Harris comes from the same high school as current Duquesne center Derrick Martin. He sounds more comfortable inside than outside and is said to be a tenacious defender capable of taking on power forward if necessary. He is quite athletic and he uses his gifts to slash for rebounds for tip ins and stay at home for the defensive glass. He is described as a very good ball handler for his size. If he's doesn't commit to Duquesne, we should still get to see plenty of him. Aside from the Dukes, he'll be taking trips to St. Bonaventure and URI.

LeDontae Henton - Lansing

6'6'' 215

Henton is a fresh from his commitment to Dayton and has reopened his recruiting. Already, he is receiving interest from the Dukes as well as the directional Michigans, Cleveland St, Oakland, Penn St and Utah. He looks to be a hot commodity as the regular signing period heats up. From Duquesne's standpoint, he sounds like a near perfect fit. He's a good defensive rebounder and has the vision to trigger the fast break. As a scorer, he more comfortable around the hoop and is said to have an adequate mid range game. However, he is a poor outside shooter and there are some concerns about his ball handling at the next level. Henton said he'd like to stay close to home. It remains to be seen if Pittsburgh is close enough.
