Game Notes

The Owls are coached by Tonya Cardoza.  She has led the Owls to the last two of their seven consecutive NCAA tournament appearances.
The Owls appear also to take no mercy on their A10 opponents. They have won their seven A10 games played by an average of 28 points.  The closest margin of victory for the Owls was three at Charlotte.

If the Owls have any weakness, it is free throw shooting.   They are last in the A10 and the Dukes are 7th.

Senior Samantha Pollino was named to the Capital One All-District Women's Basketball Team District 2.  Pollino, who missed the Umass game due to a class commitment, needs 3 points for 1,300 career points.

Saturday is Buck Day.  All tickets, hot dogs and drinks are $1.  Also, the Dukes will be celebrating Think Pink/Women in Sports Day.
