Jordan Robinson Commits to Duquesne

By Steve DiMiceli

A number of sources have confirmed that Duquesne received their second commitment for the class of 2013 from the 6'7'' Jordan Robinson of Quality Education Academy in North Carolina. Robinson has offers from Charlotte and Hofstra according to Rivals along with interest from Xavier,  UCLA, Depaul and Minnesota. Robinson has 3 stars at ESPN, Scout and 247Sports, and 2 star at Future150. 247Sports lists him as the 170th best prospect while ESPN also rates him as the 20th best center in the class of 2013.

Robinson is more bulky than long or athletic and has the frame to play defensive line at a BCS program. He has soft hands and finishes well around the net. He has the potential to become a very good rebounder and defender.  There is nothing flashy about his game. He may never become a star but he should develop into the quiet interior work horse every team needs and values.

While he plays in North Carolina, Robinson becomes the third Canadian to commit to Jim Ferry along with current Duke Marvin Binney and fellow 2013 Isaiah Watkins. He visited Duquesne during the Xavier game at Consol Energy Center.
