Six weeks after his commitment was mentioned in a one line blurb in the Maryland Gazette, we have confirmation that 6'2 combo guard from Massanutten Military Academy Bryan Harris has verbally committed
to Duquesne and Ron Everhart. Harris averaged 24 points on the prep circuit this fall playing for a 5 win Massanutten team. He is said to be a hard worker and late bloomer who received no Division I or II interest out of Southern High School in Maryland. He turned a strong prep year into offers from Appalachian State, Hofstra, Quinnipiac, Robert Morris and Wofford as well as Duquesne.

Harris is still largely a man of mystery and very little is written about him. His offer sheet is similar to Sean Johnson's out of high school. Ron has had some success finding overlooked slow developers. BJ Monteiro comes to mind. Still, I'm relieved to know that Ron was not the only coach in on him as I suspected when I first read about the commitment in February.

Harris becomes the 4th member of the Class of 2012 along with Donovan Jack, Willie Moore, and Shaheed Davis. Duquesne only have two scholarships vacated by graduating seniors. It is unclear where the remaining scholarships will come from. Rumors suggest several players have the desire to transfer but none have announced their intention to depart at this time.
