Duquesne received it's first commitment of 2012 from 6'9'' PF Donovan Jack of Reading, PA according to Northstar Basketball. Jack is ranked the 54th best PF in the class of 2012 according to ESPN and has been assigned an 88 rating. According to his AAU, team he carried offers from Vermont, James Madison, Holy Cross, American, Lafayette and Bucknell. Rivals reports an offer from George Mason. Jack is said to have BCS interest from Washington St, Penn St, Notre Dame, Boston College and Depaul and A-10 interest from St Joe's, Lasalle, Temple, GW and St Bonaventure.
Jack is a south paw who according to ESPN "plays with great energy on both ends of the floor. Jack runs the floor and can catch and finish on the move very well. He scores on the block with drop steps and moves over his right shoulder." Pennlive.com reports 13.6 points per game. Video can be found on You Tube. He wears 34 and 32.
*Update: Per the Reading Eagle, Jack had 25 offers including two from the Big 10, five from the A-10, along with Washington St. His final 5 were Duquesne, Belmont, St Joe's, St Bona and Davidson.
